I love the simplicity of this recipe. It is so easy to make, requires less ingredients and yet it is so incredibly filling and delicious. Usually I used to make this with chocolates but for this particular recipe, I had some strawberries that were about to go bad so I incorporated them into the mixture and the combo of crunchy rice krispies, chocolate and strawberries is just a dream!
Start by melting the dark chocolate either in a microwave or place it in a bowl over boiling water and allow it to melt completely. Pour the melted chocolate over the puffed rice in a large bowl and add maple syrup, coconut oil and chopped strawberries.
Mix all the ingredients well so the puffed rice is well coated.
Line a loaf tray with baking paper and pour the mixture. Lightly press it down and even the surface with a spatula.
Place the mixture int he freezer for 1-2 hours to firm up. Once the mixture is from, cut into slices and enjoy. .
